Binh Thuan played host to a business networking event on March 19 in Phan Thiet City, gathering nearly 100 representatives from agencies, tourism enterprises, and media organizations from the south-central Vietnamese province and the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The event is expected to boost the number of Korean tourists to Binh Thuan and open up opportunities for cooperation in investment, high-end tourism services development, and more effective destination promotion.
Participants exchanged insights, introducing the RoK’s tourism potential and products, as well as Binh Thuan’s unique strengths, natural and cultural heritage, and tourism offerings.
As one of Vietnam’s premier tourist destinations, Binh Thuan is solidifying its position on the international tourism map. The province boasts a stunning natural landscape, a 192-kilometer coastline, a mild year-round climate, and renowned attractions like the White Sand Dunes (Doi Cat Bay), Bau Trang (White Lake), Ke Ga Cape, Po Sah Inu Cham Tower, and the Duc Thanh School relic site. With 35 ethnic groups calling Binh Thuan home, the province also offers vibrant traditional festivals, craft villages, and unique cuisine.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Binh Thuan People’s Committee, Nguyen Minh, emphasized the province’s focus on sustainable tourism development alongside high-end tourism offerings such as golf, luxury beach resorts, water sports, and off-road adventure tourism.
Minh added that Binh Thuan aims to integrate tourism development with natural resource preservation, environmental protection, and cultural tourism initiatives through festivals, community experiences, and traditional craft villages. The province is also promoting ecotourism, adventure tourism, agricultural tourism, community tourism, wellness tourism, and MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
The RoK has become a significant tourism market for Vietnam, especially for Binh Thuan. In the first two months of 2025, Binh Thuan welcomed over 116,000 international visitors, a 32% year-on-year increase, with the RoK ranking third in terms of arrivals.
To attract more Korean tourists, Minh stated that Binh Thuan will collaborate with localities and businesses to offer incentives and stimulus programs for Korean travel companies bringing visitors to the province. Local authorities will also provide maximum support for Korean investors looking to develop tourism products that cater to Korean preferences.
During the event, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism signed a cooperation agreement with the representative office of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism in the RoK. Additionally, Binh Thuan’s Tourism Association and the RoK’s Hanatour company signed a collaboration agreement to organize tours for Korean travelers to the province in the near future.
