Explore the Cultural Treasures of Bac Ninh in Hanoi

A showcase titled “Bac Ninh Space in the Heart of Hanoi in 2020” attracted a significant number of visitors to the pedestrian space near Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi on December 4th. The event was organized by the Department of Planning and Investment of Bac Ninh province.

The program featured a range of activities showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Bac Ninh province. Visitors were treated to demonstrations of Bac Ninh handicrafts, including Phu Lang pottery, Dong Ho folk paintings, Xuan Lai bamboo and rattan utensils, Phu The wood carving, Dong Ky carpentry, and bronze casting from Dai Bai village.

Hanoians had the opportunity to savor the unique culinary delights of Bac Ninh, including local rustic dishes such as Cho village’s rice cake, Bui Xa spring rolls, Dinh To soy sauce, banh Phu The (husband and wife cake), and Diem village’s cuddled sticky rice cake.

Furthermore, various activities were held within the program to promote the value of popular heritage linked to tourist activities. These included folk singing performances by Quan ho clubs, costume shows, and the presentation of betel in the form of phoenix wings.
