Minister Hung, in his address at the event, emphasized the significance of the late Party leader’s legacy, particularly the cultural heritage, to the nation’s ongoing construction and development of its national culture.

The publications authored by General Secretary Trong focus on fostering an advanced Vietnamese culture, rich in national identities, and exploring the theory and practice of socialism in Vietnam.

Minister Hung highlighted that these books reflect General Secretary Trong’s deep commitment to the cultural domain. He suggested that they could serve as essential guides for cultural professionals, thereby advancing the development of a sophisticated Vietnamese culture, infused with the country’s unique identities.

As a special gesture, Minister Hung presented a bilingual Vietnamese-English book titled “A Thousand Years of Vietnamese National Culture.” This book aims to showcase the nation’s treasures, accompanied by vivid images, offering readers a deeper understanding of their origins, distinct characteristics, and unparalleled values.

Expressing his hopes, the Minister said that through these invaluable books, the Vietnam Cultural Center in France would be able to introduce the nation’s precious heritage to an international audience. This, he believed, would ultimately enhance the reputation of Vietnam and its people. He added that this was also a fitting tribute to commemorate the departed Party leader.

Tang Thanh Son, a Meritorious Artist and Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam Cultural Center in France, was deeply touched by the receipt of these precious books. He affirmed that the center’s officers and employees would absorb the valuable knowledge within and contribute to disseminating Vietnam’s cultural identity to friends worldwide in the years to come.
