“I’m not going anywhere,” the Spaniard told Sky News, reaffirming his commitment to the club he has managed since 2016. “My heart is here, and I plan on staying next season and beyond. We’ll discuss the future with the club during the season, but for now, I’m focused on the present.”

When asked about his future plans at a news conference, Guardiola briefly addressed the topic, acknowledging the natural fatigue that comes with the immense effort required to secure City’s remarkable sixth title in seven years.

However, he assured fans that he was ready to take on the challenge of the upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester United and felt motivated for the next Premier League season, a sentiment he has expressed repeatedly.

Guardiola remained humble about his latest achievement, acknowledging that managers like Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson had accomplished even more in the past.

He also took the time to commend his rivals, Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and Liverpool’s Juergen Klopp, for pushing him and his team throughout the season.

“It’s been a tough battle, and I want to recognize the incredible job done by Mikel and Juergen,” Guardiola said. “Their teams have been exceptional, and they’ve driven us to new heights. We respect them immensely, and I can only express my gratitude for the competition they’ve provided.”

He continued, “To win six Premier League titles in seven years is extraordinary. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. When I first joined, I never imagined we’d achieve something like this. It’s truly remarkable.”

Praise for Klopp and Arteta

Guardiola had nothing but praise and admiration for Klopp, who managed his last game for Liverpool on Sunday. He spoke emotionally about Klopp’s impact on his life and career.

“Jurgen, I will miss you. You’ve been an incredible competitor and a true gentleman,” he said. “Your presence has pushed me to be a better manager, and I’m forever grateful for the rivalry we’ve shared. It’s been an honor to compete against you.”

Regarding Arteta, Guardiola acknowledged the talented young manager’s potential, stating, “Mikel is a brilliant tactician and a rising star in the managerial world. Arsenal’s performance this season proves that he’s here to stay, and we’ll certainly be seeing more of him in the future. He’s built a strong team, and we’ll have to be at our best to stay ahead.”

Guardiola’s players were quick to express their gratitude and admiration for their manager.

Jack Grealish shared, “I congratulated him, and he turned it around and congratulated me. That’s the kind of guy he is. He’s been there for me through some tough times this season, and I can’t thank him enough. He’s an incredible manager and an even better person.”

Erling Haaland, the Premier League’s top scorer, spoke about Guardiola’s leadership style, saying, “He demands excellence, and it’s not always easy, but the results speak for themselves. He’s a fantastic leader, and I’m grateful to be a part of his team. His passion and drive inspire us all.”
