The exhibition features a collection of 60 unique artworks created by talented Vietnamese and Indonesian artists. The participating artists, who belong to the same generation, are eager to showcase their diverse styles and concepts, while also highlighting the cultural similarities and differences between the two countries.
Both Vietnam and Indonesia, being located in Southeast Asia, have their own thriving modern and contemporary art scenes. Vietnam excels in silk, lacquer, oil paintings, and ceramics, while Indonesia is renowned for its expertise in Batik – the art of cloth decoration – as well as abstract paintings.
The exhibition, which will continue until August 13th, is expected to establish a solid foundation for future collaboration and artistic exchange between Vietnam and Indonesia.
