The outfits by Italian designer Di Terlizzi released in Italy in November impressed local people, as the new dress combines traditional and modern styles.

During the December 13 fashion show in Hanoi, the Italian designer introduced 10 outfits, while Lasen Vu brought outfits for weddings which feature traditional cultural values and images of crafts, including copper casting and embroidery, to the event.

The Ao Dai designs are part of the Ao Dai Heritage – Culture of Love project which has been implemented by the Golden Heritage Group, the Italian Embassy in Hanoi, the Vietnamese Embassy in Rome, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM), aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam-Italy diplomatic relations in 2023.

Through the project, organisers wish to promote Ao Dai internationally and at the same time learn about Italian fashion technology to produce Vietnamese fashion products, including Ao Dai.

The Italian designer has designed 60 long dresses for three lines, namely ceremonial Ao Dai, casual Ao Dai, and contemporary Ao Dai.

She introduced her first 15 designs as part of Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20. Her 10 designs were created in Italy this November and will be showcased on international stages.
