The friendly match is slated to kick off at 5:00 pm on April 27 at Hoa Xuan Stadium in Da Nang’s Cam Le District.

The match is part of the Vietnam – Brazil Football Festival 2024, which will span April 27 and 28 and feature activities to commemorate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, as announced by the organizers on Thursday.

The Brazilian side, featuring former stars Dunga, Rivaldo, Lucio, Giovanni, Kleberson, and Paulo Sergio, will face off against a team of ex-Vietnamese internationals, including Huynh Duc, Cong Vinh, Quoc Anh, Minh Phuong, Phuoc Vinh, and more.

“On the Vietnamese side, alongside the ex-national team players, several former SHB Da Nang team members will also be participating,” stated Nguyen Trong Thao, deputy director of the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports.

The event will include appearances by notable figures, such as 2013 Asian freestyle football champion Do Kim Phuc, who commands a sizable following among young fans.

During the Vietnam – Brazil Football Festival 2024, Hoa Xuan Stadium will be split into two sections, with one half hosting the 7-on-7 match and the remainder featuring a music fest showcasing Vietnamese stars, including famed singer My Tam.

Earlier, the organizers announced that ticket prices for entry to Hoa Xuan Stadium to watch the football match and music show would range from VND600,000 (US$24) to VND1.5 million ($60).

The festival also features the U9-U11-U13-U15 International Youth Football Tournament at Tien Son Stadium during its two-day run time, as well as the inauguration of the Brazil Da Nang Football Center and the Da Nang Beach Festival on the afternoon and evening of April 28, respectively.

“We are currently ensuring the best preparations for the event, with the aim of providing an impressive and unforgettable experience for all attendees,” said Thao.
