The event is being jointly organised by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. The aim of the contest is to introduce a range of outstanding artworks to people both at home and abroad.

All of the entries should have been taken between 2019 and 2020 with the competition set to be split into two categories for photographers to choose, including a reality photography category and an idea (graphic) photography category.

Entries can either be a single photo or a group of photos made up of five to eight single shots that contain informative captions.

Each entrant will be able to send a maximum of ten single photos and five groups of photos in two categories by June 30 to the website anhnghethuatvietnam2020.com.
