The program’s activities include contributing to the Government’s Covid-19 vaccine fund and donating protective gear and medical equipment to frontline hospitals in HCMC and the country’s biggest coronavirus hotspot of Bac Giang in order to assist with efforts to conduct Covid-19 tests, cushion the spread of the disease and provide medical treatment to coronavirus patients.
The program also organized a number of activities to raise awareness about protecting and improving the physical and mental health of the residents in Nam Long’s townships, especially the community.
Tran Xuan Ngoc, general director of Nam Long Group, said, “The pandemic has been causing difficulties and losses for the whole country, upending all aspects of life. As a business that always prioritizes corporate social responsibility and sustainable development, Nam Long Group has recently re-activated the ‘Nam Long contributing to the Covid-19 fight’ program… The program is aligned with Nam Long’s mission of building a valuable living environment for the community.”
The Nam Long representative also expressed his sincere and heartfelt thanks to the authorities, doctors, medical workers, soldiers and volunteers who are at the frontline and have devoted themselves to protecting the community despite hardships and being separated from their families.
The “Nam Long contributing to the Covid-19 fight” program was initiated by Nguyen Xuan Quang, chairman of Nam Long Group, from the first outbreak in Vietnam in 2020 with many meaningful activities such as supporting the border guard forces and medical workers in the fight against the pandemic, helping low-income workers by installing rice ATMs after the first outbreak, among others.
