On December 31, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper shared his thoughts on many achievements in bilateral relations with Vietnam in 2022 in a clip released by the US's embassy.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vietnam in collaboration with the Vietnam Journal for Indian and Asian Studies, Institute for Indian and Southwest Asian Studies (VIIAS) and Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences launched a special issue on “Sri Lanka - Vietnam Buddhist and Historical Relations”.

The place began a unique event called the ‘Shangrila Calling’ Festival in 2021 to spread the stories, folklore and culture associated with the spell-binding Chumi Gyatse or the “Holy Waterfalls” to the outside world.
Vietnam reopened its doors at the start of the year following a two-year hiatus caused by COVID-19, creating conditions for diplomatic activities to reach full steam once again, marked by top Vietnamese leaders’ overseas trips. And, In 2022, the Party Secretary General, the President, the Prime Minister, and the Chairman of the National Assembly were involved in many foreign affairs activities.
Recently, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has announced a list of 32 destinations worldwide that have become the "Best Tourism Villages in 2022". Among them, the Thai Hai eco-ethnic stilt house village conservation area in Vietnam is honored to be named on the list.
