The upcoming annual festival promises a vibrant and immersive experience, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich and diverse cultures of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups.

Among the highlights of the festival are Soc Trang province’s cultural and tourism festivities, a celebration of “đờn ca tài tử” (the enchanting southern folk music), a captivating photo exhibition showcasing the daily lives of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities, and a unique display of Ede ethnic musical instruments.

One of the festival’s key attractions is the opportunity for visitors to indulge in a coffee-tasting journey in a special area dedicated to the Central Highlands region, renowned as the heartland of Vietnamese coffee culture.

The festival will also feature reenactments of traditional festivals and rituals, such as the “cấp sắc” maturity ritual of the Dao ethnic group and the new rice festival of the Jrai ethnic group, offering a window into the rich cultural heritage of these communities.

In addition, a colorful display of traditional costumes from various ethnic groups will be presented, providing a visual feast and a deeper understanding of the country’s ethnic diversity.

Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups’ Culture Day, observed annually on April 19, is a celebration of the country’s cultural mosaic, honoring the unique traditions and customs of its ethnic minorities.
