Ba Den Mountain to become tourism hotspot

With the opening of a modern cable car by the Sun Group this year, Tay Ninh province was expected to witness a boom in tourism. Due to COVID-19, however, the number of visitors has fallen this year, presenting a major challenge for the development of the province’s tourism industry.

After its tourism sector was hit by COVID-19, the province introduced a range of appropriate tourism stimulus policies to both boost tourism activities and contain the disease. Tourism enterprises also introduced their own stimulus measures, cutting ticket prices by 10-25% and promoting accompanying services.

Tay Ninh has identified the tourism industry as key within its socio-economic development, and it is to become a spearhead economic sector under plans to 2025 and orientations to 2035.

The province will strive to increase tourism revenue in the 2021-2025 period to 25.4 trillion VND, a rise of nearly five-fold against the 2016-2020 period. It also aims to develop and link tourism products in the Ba Den Mountain tourist area, the Tay Ninh Cao Dai Temple, Dau Tieng Lake, special national relic, the Central Base of the Southern Department, and the Lo Go – Xa Mat National Park, in order to become an attractive destination with distinctive local offerings./.
