Many travel blogs have rated Nui Chua as an unmissable trekking route due to its pristine landscapes and rare trees in the hot and humid subtropical destination.

Visitors can explore Nui Chua at any time of the year. However, the preferred period is between August and October when the weather is drier and more pleasant. To ensure nature conservation and visitor safety, registration with the National Park Management Board is required. Upon registration, visitors are guided by park staff or indigenous guides.

To reach the starting point of the trekking tour that leads to the peak of Nui Chua, travelers can travel approximately 30km northeast from Phan Rang – Thap Cham City. Early morning trekkers will have the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sunrise on Ninh Chu beach. Proper attire capable of protecting against the sun and wind, as well as ample water to stay hydrated, are essential for the two-day hike in challenging climate conditions.

In addition to its diverse flora and fauna, Nui Chua’s unique terrain, including high forests and semi-deserts, and the adjacent bay contributes to its magnificent beauty. Along the ascending trail, trekkers may encounter villages inhabited by the Raglai ethnic minority, who participate in forest conservation efforts, as well as guide and assist travelers. The stunning image of Nui Chua includes vast expanses of burning yellow grasslands stretching towards the horizon.

During the journey, visitors will have the opportunity to explore six different forest types, ranging from thorny plant savannahs to dense shrubs and forests with a wide canopy in the midst of the desert. It is truly a natural miracle in an area with low rainfall and gentle streams.

In terms of altitude, Nui Chua’s peak at 1,039 meters may not compare to taller mountains in the north. However, climbers must traverse seven smaller mountains in windy and sunny conditions to conquer this peak. Despite the challenges, the trekking tour is conducted professionally and attentively by the Nui Chua National Park Management Board for those seeking trekking experiences in the southern region.
