The Hanoi Travel Association and the Son La Provincial Tourism Association signed a cooperation agreement on developing new tourism products and two-way passenger transportation.
Son La is one of the attractive destinations of the northwest region. Coming to Son La, in addition to familiar destinations such as Moc Chau, Ta Xua, Bac Yen, visitors can also discover new destinations, such as Quynh Nhai lake – considered a copy of "Ha Long Bay" in the Northwest. Currently, Quynh Nhai is a destination amany local businesses are exploiting and building to attract tourists.
In order to better exploit the potential of Son La’s destinations, over recent times, Son La province and Hanoi city have conducted significant cooperation.
The new tourism products aim to further strengthen tourism cooperation between the two localities, as well as responding to the "Vietnamese traveling Vietnam" programme as launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The new products, includes a 3-day, 2-night tour (by car) with a schedule from Hanoi – Son La city – exploring the Quynh Nhai lake – Thuan Chau district. With the journey, visitors have a chance to visit many destinations in Son La such as: the Golden Forest Tourist Area, Tay Bac (Northwest) Square, Son La Prison, Quynh Nhai Ecotourism Area, Pa Uon bridge, Linh Son Thuy Tu temple, Nang Han temple, and Pha Din pass.
Currently, Son La province has a plan to develop its tourism for the period of 2021-2023, focusing on building 24 unique and different tourism products. Son La will focus on developing tourism resources such as: the Moc Chau National Tourist Area, Son La hydropower reservoir area, and tourism development associated with its agricultural products.
