THE HANOI TIMES — The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) Hanoi 2025 commenced with the prestigious VITA Awards, honoring an impressive number of organizations and individuals for their exceptional contributions to the country’s tourism industry in 2024. A total of 155 organizations and 69 individuals were recognized, serving as a trusted benchmark of excellence for travelers seeking unique and high-quality experiences in Vietnam.
The awards celebrated a diverse range of achievements, including 10 standout tourism events, 22 exemplary leaders of local tourism associations, 11 top travel company directors, and 10 outstanding hotel and resort managers. In addition, the awards acknowledged excellence in international and domestic travel services, resorts, culinary arts, training institutions, and MICE tourism providers.

Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, emphasized the VITA Awards’ role in fostering innovation, creativity, and service quality improvement within the industry. She also highlighted how the awards raise awareness of tourism’s significant contribution to Vietnam’s socio-economic progress.
Vietnam’s tourism sector demonstrated remarkable growth in 2024, attracting 17.5 million international visitors, reflecting a robust 38.9% increase compared to 2023. These figures showcase the industry’s resilience and dynamic development.
