THE HANOI CHRONICLE — With National Day celebrations just around the corner, there have been concerns about accommodation shortages in Hanoi, especially with reports of fully booked hotels in the city. However, the Hanoi Department of Tourism has assured travelers that there is no need to worry. The city is well-equipped to handle the influx of visitors and has a diverse range of lodging options.

According to Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, while there might be occasional shortages of rooms in central areas near the parade venue, Hanoi boasts an extensive accommodation system.

The department anticipates a large number of people flocking to the city for the 80th-anniversary celebrations of Independence Day, which falls on September 2, 1945-2025. To address the demand, Hanoi offers 3,761 accommodation facilities with over 71,200 rooms. Of these, 85 hotels and apartment buildings are rated 1 to 5 stars, providing nearly 12,000 rooms. Additionally, there are 3,676 unrated establishments offering almost 60,000 rooms.

“Hanoi is more than prepared to accommodate the expected high volume of visitors during this extended holiday,” assured Giang. “With a diverse lodging system, we can ensure that everyone can find suitable options, from luxurious hotels to more affordable establishments.”

Online accommodation platforms are also expected to play a significant role in meeting the demand for rooms during the four-day National Day holiday.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism has requested that hotels, accommodation facilities, and tourist sites proactively prepare comprehensive plans. These plans encompass human resources, services, tourism products, security, and environmental sanitation to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Moreover, a rich array of cultural and entertainment activities will be held in the capital during the holiday, adding to the festive atmosphere.

“We extend a warm invitation to both domestic and international visitors to join us in Hanoi during this momentous occasion,” said Giang. “With our meticulous planning, we are committed to exceeding tourists’ expectations in terms of accommodation, unique experiences, and safety.”
