The meeting occurred as part of the NPSC delegation’s visit to Vietnam.
Rabindra Adhikari, the Chairman of the NPSC Council, expressed Nepal’s interest in developing relations with Vietnam in the tourism sector. Vietnamese tourists primarily visit Nepal for religious tourism. Nepal aims to establish a direct flight route between the two countries.
Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, emphasized the need to establish cooperative relations between the tourism agencies of both countries. He proposed specific activities such as exchanging delegations, participating in promotion fairs, connecting the tourism associations of the two countries, and signing tourism cooperation agreements.
The two sides agreed to present a cooperation proposal for tourism development in the near future. They expressed confidence that this meeting would serve as the starting point for tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Nepal.
