Da Dia Reef in Tuy An district features columns of black basalt rock formations and is considered to be one of the most beautiful of reefs of its kind in the world, it wrote.

Dai Lanh Cape in the capital of Tuy Hoa has slightly more greenery and, being the easternmost point of mainland Vietnam, is the perfect place in which to catch the first sunrise in the country. It is best to do so from the Dai Lanh Lighthouse, which has stood there since it was built by the French in 1890.

According to the media outlet, the best time to visit Phu Yen is from January to March when the weather is cool with less rainfall.

Other locations featured on the list include cascading waterfalls of Luang Prabang in Laos, the lush greenery of Mae Hong Son in Thailand, the scenic islands of the Nusa Tenggara province in Indonesia, and the untouched beauty of Albay in the Philippines.

The Southeast Asian region boasts aplenty natural wonders, with an abundance of forests, islands, and mountains that are just waiting to be explored.
