On January 8, Pham Quang Huy competed in the men’s 10m air pistol event, but unfortunately was not able to secure a ticket to the Games. He will now have to rely on the next qualifying round of the 2024 NRA World Shooting Championship in April.

However, Trinh Thu Vinh has already secured her ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games based on her outstanding performance at the Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship 2024 held in Indonesia from January 7-17.

Vinh had previously secured her spot at the Olympics by achieving a high result at the 53rd ISSF World Shooting Championships in Azerbaijan in August 2023.

Cyclist Nguyen Thi That and swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang have also qualified for the summer games in Paris.
