Enchanting Vietnam: UK Newspaper Unveils Ba Na Hills, a Captivating Mock French Resort Nestled in the Mountains

The UK's leading travel newspaper, The Daily Express, has recommended a trip to Sun World Ba Na Hills in the coastal city of Da Nang as a perfect escape from the humidity of northern Vietnam. With its European-inspired architecture and ambiance, this popular holiday destination offers a unique and refreshing experience for locals seeking a taste of the old continent.

About an hour’s drive from Da Nang, Ba Na Hills is a unique resort that offers a taste of France in Vietnam, as described by journalist Jack Mortimer.

The resort is accessible by a scenic road trip, but the highlight of the journey is undoubtedly the world’s longest non-stop cable car ride, which takes approximately 20 minutes to ascend to the resort, hovering 5,800 meters above ground.

As you arrive at Ba Na Hills, you are greeted by the iconic Golden Bridge, a 150-meter-long walkway supported by two gigantic hands crafted from fiberglass, meticulously designed to resemble stone.

Opened in 2018, the Golden Bridge quickly became a tourist attraction in its own right, drawing visitors from across the globe. It is recommended to allocate ample time to stroll across the bridge, taking in the breathtaking views and being cautious of pickpockets.

The heart of Ba Na Hills is the French Village, a charming replica of a typical French town. Its centerpiece is a bustling market square adorned with a grand fountain and statues of renowned French personalities.

The village encapsulates the essence of a French countryside, featuring a Catholic church with a confession booth, intimate restaurants serving fine wine from their mountain cellars, and a collection of vintage French automobiles adorned with floral bouquets.
