At the meeting, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko welcomed the students’ inquisitive spirit, as well as their love for the Russian country and culture. In addition, the Ambassador shared his experience in learning foreign languages, his impressions of Vietnamese culture, customs, cuisine and especially his feelings towards Vietnamese people during the term.
G. Bezdetko hoped that the meeting would not only help students better understand the Russian language and culture, and contribute to strengthening the relationship between Vietnamese and Russian people, under the spirit of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

“All the students have been carefully preparing for the meeting today. They brought questions, gifts, and wishes to the Ambassador. In particular, students from Thai Nguyen High School for the Gifted presented with the Ambassador a poem and tea, which is a specialty of Thai Nguyen Province. I hope that more meetings will be organized in the future so that the students will have opportunities to exchange and use Russian,” said Ekaterina Kozulina (Russian teacher at high schools in Vietnam as part of the humanities project “Russian teachers abroad”) said.
