Many men nationwide are willing to spend millions of VND to purchase special flowers, including gold-plated roses for their partners ahead of Valentine’s Day, which falls on February 14 annually.
The roses feature 24K gold and are sold for around VND2.5 million to VND3 million each.
Hoang Minh Huy, a shop owner on Xa Dan street in Dong Da district of Hanoi, says his shop receives around 10 to 15 orders of gold-plated roses per day on average, proving that roses are among the most popular gifts for the occasion.
Roses are the most selected flower by men as a gift for their lovers during Valentine’s Day.
Each gold-plated rose is 22 cm in length and is plated with 24K gold.
This gold-plated rose costs VND2.5 million.
Craftsmen spend around one to two months on completing this product.
