Five people died at the scene while five others were seriously injured in the incident, with the victims being taken to a nearby hospital.

The two vehicles were completely deformed after the collision.

At the scene, the container truck had flipped over on the road.

Upon receiving news of the crash, local authorities rushed to the scene to help the victims and ease the flow of traffic.

Rescue forces had to cut the bus open in order to save the victims.

According to local police, after conducting a quick test it was found that neither driver had alcohol in their system.

They note that at the time of the incident, fog was limiting visibility.

Functional forces are now investigating the cause of the road accident.
