Engfa Wahara, Miss Grand Thailand, warmly welcomed in Vietnam
Engfa Wahara, the reigning Miss Grand Thailand 2022, touched down at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on October 24. She arrived in Ho Chi Minh City to make final preparations for her highly anticipated appearance at the grand finale of the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant, which is scheduled to take place the next day.
Hundreds of fans arrive together at the airport early as they prepare flowers and gifts for Wahara and the other runners-up of the Miss Grand Thailand 2022 pageant.
Wahara, 28 is a Thai singer who was crowned as Miss Grand Thailand in 2022.
The beauty queen represented Thailand at Miss Grand International 2022, during which she claimed the first runner-up title.
Vietnamese fans present a Non La (palm-leaf conical hat) as a special gift to the Thai beauty.
Wahara is scheduled to take part in a performance alongside the Top 5 finalists in the grand final of the Miss Grand International (MGI) 2023 pageant which will be held at the Phu Tho indoor stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of October 25.
The Thai beauty also plans to hold her first concert at the Phu Tho indoor stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on October 28.
The third, fourth, and fifth runners-up of Miss Grand Thailand 2022 also touch down in Vietnam.
A total of 69 contestants from across the world arrive in the nation on October 3, with the group since participating in an array of activities in Hanoi, Ha Long, Hue, Hoi An, and Da Nang. Reigning beauty queen Isabella Menin from Brazil will hand over the crown to her successor in the grand finale of MGI 2023 on the evening of October 25.
