In an announcement on their official Facebook fan page on September 19, the renowned boyband revealed that they will be performing a one-night live concert at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City as part of their Wild Dreams tour.

“Vietnam! We are thrilled to return with the Wild Dreams tour on November 22, 2023. Tickets will be available for purchase starting September 26. Make sure not to miss out!” Westlife shared on their fan page.

The post attracted over 45,000 engagements from Vietnamese fans, including 16,000 comments and more than 10,000 shares.

This will be Westlife’s second visit to Vietnam for a live concert. The Irish pop group previously captivated thousands of fans during their Gravity global tour, which included a performance at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi in 2011.

Shane Filan, the band’s lead vocalist, also visited Ho Chi Minh City in 2014 as part of his You & Me tour. In 2017, he returned to the city for the Love Always music night.

Formed in 1998, Westlife consists of Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Bryne, Mark Feehily, and Bryan McFadden. With over 55 million records sold and four Guinness World Records, they have received multiple awards, including a World Music Award, two Brit Awards, four MTV Awards, and four Record of the Year Awards.

Their popular songs such as “Flying Without Wings,” “Seasons in The Sun,” “My Love,” and “I Lay My Love On You” have won the hearts of countless fans worldwide, including those in Vietnam.
