This is one of the major contents of the cooperation agreement between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee (HCYUCC) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation in Vietnam (UNESCO Vietnam) during 2021-2025.

The agreement was signed at a conference held in Hanoi on December 22.

Under the agreement, the two sides will focus on the implementation of the Vietnam Youth Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period, as well as promote gender equality and development orientation of younger generations in association with building a peaceful and sustainable society.

In addition, the two agencies will support each other in organising activities related to sex education and marriage knowledge for young people.

The HCYUCC and UNESCO Vietnam will help the youths improve their digital skills and international cooperation experiences in scientific research.

The young people will also be provided knowledge and skills on information and communications to ensure their safety via the internet.

The two sides will also boost educational programmes on preservation and control of heritages and traditional cultural values of ethnic minority groups.

The cooperation agreement will take effect from now until December 31, 2025.
