On January 26, a number of Chinese news outlets, including Ifeng, Sina, Southern Metropolis Daily, etc., feature photos of Nguyen, commenting on her striking resemblance to Chinese movie star Zhang Ziyi. Ifeng in one of its articles said Nguyen “has a face that can tell stories and is very cinematic”.
Anny Fan, a famous Chinese fashion blogger, commented that Nguyen had a calm, Asian face. “She bears a strong resemblance to Zhang Ziyi, yet still exudes her own aura which leaves an unforgettable impression on other people”.

Meanwhile, Nguyen told VNE in a statement that her sudden fame among Chinese netizens took her by surprise. She felt a little strange, yet happy as her followers on Instagram skyrocketed within a few days.
Nguyen, born in 1999 in Phu Tho province, northern Vietnam, majors in Graphic Design and has been a freelance model since 2019. First days into the model industry, she was kind of shy and self-conscious thinking she was “not as beautiful as other models”. Nguyen gradually learned to love herself thanks to encouragement from friends.
Nguyen plans to take up acting training courses to further develop her career.
