The Miss World Organization has announced that India has been chosen as the host country for the highly anticipated 71st Miss World 2023 pageant. This prestigious honor recognizes India’s rich cultural heritage, commitment to promoting diversity, and passion for empowering women. So far, 130 countries have confirmed to send contestants to the pageant this year.
Phuong, 23, emerged victorious among 36 other contestants on the final night of the Miss World Vietnam 2022 pageant held on August 12, 2022, in Quy Nhon city. Standing at 1.70 meters tall and measuring 82-63-92 cm, Phuong currently works as an emcee and has appeared in numerous television programs.
Vietnamese representatives have achieved notable success at the Miss World pageant in recent years. Luong Thuy Linh reached the Top 12 in 2019, and Do Thi Ha was among the top 13 finalists in 2021.
Miss World 2023, the 71st edition of the pageant, will take place in India this December. India previously hosted the beauty contest in 1996, and Indian beauties have been crowned Miss World six times over the world pageant’s 70-year history. Most recently, Manushi Chhillar, the Indian representative, won the Miss World title in 2017.
