The event, held by the Department of Art, Photography, and Exhibitions under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, aimed to review the results of art creation activities in across society.

The organising board selected 238 fine art works by 182 artists for display at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum. In particular, the 33 most outstanding paintings, including 26 in factual and seven in conceptual categories, will be honoured at the awards ceremony.

This year’s contest saw a significanct increase in the number of works from the participants, excellent evidence of the development of the photography sector over recent years.

With new ideas and creations, the entries reflected contemporary issues as well as various thoughts regarding t life.

The exhibition will last until November 11.
