Technology Transforms Tourist Behavior and Business Models
Vietnam’s tourism industry recognizes the pivotal role of technology, specifically artificial intelligence (AI), in its sustainable development. This is especially prominent as the country aims to attract 22-23 million international visitors by 2025.
Destinations are now enriched with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies, along with smart interactive stations (TapQuest). These innovations offer visitors immersive and lifelike experiences. Many businesses have integrated AI across various operations, including hotel management, online booking, personalized itinerary planning, and optimized destination promotion. As a result, they can create targeted smart marketing strategies that resonate with the right potential customers.
