The program offers reductions in room rates and tourism services.

Specifically, some four to five-star hotels such as Mường Thanh Luxury Cần Thơ will reduce 20 per cent of the room rate and 10 per cent of the rent for conference and seminar rooms, while Victoria Cần Thơ Resort will offer 25 per cent discount on room rates.

Businesses staying at Ninh Kiều Riverside Hotel will receive a 33-60 per cent of discount, while groups of travellers with bookings of five rooms and more will receive up to 55 per cent discount on room rates if they choose to visit Cồn Khương Resort.

Some tourism destinations have also offered attractive discounts on their services.

For example, Lung Cột Cầu Tourism Site will offer a 20 per cent reduction for their service rate for visitors travelling in groups, and a 10 per cent discount on total bills for solo travellers.

When tourists book two nights at Mỹ Khánh Tourism Village, they will receive the third night for free, along with free train and sightseeing tram tickets.

Travel agencies with branches in Cần Thơ have also participated in the stimulus programme, including Lửa Vịệt Tây Nam company with 10 per cent discount on specific tours, Saigontourist with 27 to 54 per cent discount on some tours and Vietravel with 10 to 15 per cent discount on some tours.

Nguyễn Khánh Tùng, director of Cần Thơ City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that a tourism festival would be held between June 19 and 20 in the city to introduce new tourism products and connect tourism businesses.
