The exhibition, which will run until January 30 next year, showcases sculptures and architectural pieces by some of the world’s leading artists and architects, including French-American artist Louise Bourgeois, Frank O. Gehry, Tadao Ando, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Richard Rogers, Sophie Calle, and many others.

This is the third time the Vietnamese female artist has been invited to participate in an exhibition at the La Coste castle, which is considered the ‘art mecca’ of France, combining art, architecture, and wine culture.

In this comeback, Tia-Thuy Nguyen tells the story of the circle of life and the conservation of energy through her piece ‘Flower of Life’, which has captured the attention of artists and visitors to the exhibition.

Continuing to use light as a storytelling medium, Tia-Thuy Nguyen portrays the ‘Flower of Life’ using an 18-meter tall dead oak tree at the La Coste castle.

The exhibition takes place in two locations at the castle: an indoor area and a sunny garden.

Her artworks span various genres and forms, including reliefs, double-sided embroidery made from steel wire, oil paintings, and appliques.

It took her two years to complete this collection.

Starting with the original structure of the oak trunk, she and other craftsmen welded stainless steel sheets to cover the shape of the trunk, creating rough spots and grooves on the bark to create a sparkling effect when light shines on it.

Tree branches were handcrafted in Vietnam and then transported to France.

Through this exhibition, Tia-Thuy Nguyen aims to promote culture, creativity, and showcase Vietnam’s fine arts to the world.
