This year’s festival is upgraded from the annual event ‘Da Nang – Summer Destination’ with the goal to boost the tourism sector in the wake of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Various kinds of water sports including jet-skiing, parasailing, paragliding, windsurfing, kayaking, and other diversely interesting activities will be available for visitors to discover.
The fest, organized by the Da Nang Department of Tourism, will include main events at the beaches of Phuoc My, My Khe, My An, Son Thuy, Xuan Thieu, and Nguyen Tat Thanh.
There will be other networking activities within the Da Nang Fantasticity Festival 2020 held at the Sun World Ba Na Hills resort, Nui Than Tai hot springs, Tran Hung Dao Street, Bach Dang Street, and Asia Park.
One highlight is the grand opening ceremony which will begin at 7:30 pm on July 30 at the East Sea Park.
During the festival, visitors will also be entertained by many dynamic art shows, especially the EDM music night ‘Awakening Summer’ on August 1, a flashmob swimsuit performance by budget airline Vietjet on July 31, a showcase of installation art on the beach, and a food festival featuring traditional dishes from across Vietnam.
Apart from water sports, visitors will have a chance to play games like tug of war and blind-folded duck catching as well as take part in traditional summer activities like kite flying, street art, and music performances.
