According to the People’s Committee of District 5, a total of 30 kylin-lion and dragon dance troupes from both the city and surrounding provinces have already registered to participate in the occasion.

In addition to local performers, the organisers have also invited foreign art troupes from Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand to take part in the festival.

The purpose of the annual event is to select athletes who have the potential to compete in national and regional championships, in addition to promoting a traditional art form to both local people and tourists.
