The festival will return to the central city for the second time after its first edition earlier this year, according to the organisers. The event aims to select and honor exceptional cinematic works, promote talented artists from Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region, and introduce new and valuable Asian and Vietnamese films to the public.

Entries will compete in the Asian films category, which will be judged by an Asian panel, as well as the Vietnamese films category, which will be judged by Vietnamese experts.

The audience’s choice award will be given to the favorite Vietnamese film, as voted by viewers participating in the screenings of the “Today’s Vietnamese Cinema” program.

For the first time, the organizers will announce the film achievement award for the best filmmaker.

All entries must have English subtitles. The deadline for film registration is March 15, 2024, for Asian films, and April 30, 2024, for Vietnamese films.

In addition, several workshops will be held during the event to allow participants to share their experiences and to select talented young filmmakers for training under the guidance of international and Vietnamese film experts.

The event will be co-organized by the Vietnam Association of Film Promotion and Development, the Da Nang authorities, and the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC).
