The boy expressed his longing for his mother, who chose to work in Binh Duong Province instead of returning home for the Tet celebrations. The Tet festival lasted from February 8 to 14. Driven by his desire to be with his mother, the boy decided to embark on a cycling journey from his hometown to Binh Duong. He took advantage of his grandmother’s inattentiveness to venture out on Friday afternoon.

Nguyen Van Hong, the vice-chairman of the Dong Hoa People’s Committee, confirmed that the town’s administration is devoted to helping Bao be reunited with his mother. The administration is working with relevant units to facilitate the process. The local social affairs division has been instructed by the administration to provide financial support to Bao and his family, ensuring their daily activities run smoothly and supporting his education, Hong stated.
