The exhibition will bring together two groups of photographers from HaileCao Studio with black and white pictures portraying French chefs working in Hanoi, and the Chimkudo Studio, with photos introducing these chefs’ signature dishes.

French artist Fabien Jacob will also join the event, his photos being blended with augmented reality.

The works on display not only provide visitors with a closer look into French cuisine but also honour the cooks who bring French cuisine to life in Hanoi.

Visitors to the opening ceremony at 6pm on April 9 will have the opportunity to savour delicious French appetizers prepared by chefs from the twelve restaurants including Le Beaulieu, Chez Manon, La table du Chef, Maison Vie, Les Oubliés, Cousins, Saint Honoré, Quinza, Café Dulac, 3 Spoons, French Grill, and La Badiane.

A discussion and workshop entitled ‘Telling cultural stories through food photography’ will also be held on May 8 on the occasion, featuring the participation of photographer Nguyen Huy Hung and food stylist Nguyen Minh Hien.

The exhibition will be open to the public until May 9 at the French Cultural Institute in Hanoi, 24 Trang Tien street, Hoan Kiem district.
