It is not an exaggeration to say that ca phe trung can please the pickiest coffee drinkers, given its special look and taste. The coffee has become one of the most sought-after drinks for visitors to Hanoi. Giang cafe, Dinh cafe and Yen cafe are among the most popular places for foreign visitors to have ca phe trung.

I took my friend from Nha Trang, who insisted on having egg coffee while in Hanoi, to Yen cafe on Giang Van Minh street. The coffee shop was crowded at noon. It offers ca phe trung made from Arabica coffee, which distinguishes Yen from other cafes. At only 40,000 dong (1.7 US dollars), my friend really enjoyed her tasty coffee.

Nguyen Duy Minh, owner of Yen cafe, said that to create a special flavor for ca phe trung, the coffee beans must be heated before mixing it with egg cream to create a harmonious taste.
