Suddenly, another fairy appeared out of the blue and challenged him to a game. The two fairies played the game and the match continued until the break of dawn.

Ban Co Peak is situated atop a picturesque mountaintop, standing 700m above the foot of the peninsula. Its stunning vista of the city, the mountains, and the sprawling sky make it an idyllic destination for tourists. The peak is steeped in legend with the tale of the two fairies who once played chess together.

The legend goes that an old fairy stumbled upon Son Tra and, captivated by its beauty, decided to rest at the mountaintop. He found a large, flat rock and used it as his chessboard. Suddenly, another fairy appeared and challenged the old fairy to a game. The two fairies played until the break of dawn.

No longer had the chessboard been arranged when De Thich, a famous chess player, came across and asked to join the game. So excellent were the two players that several days had gone but the chess game did not end yet. The fairy and De Thich continued to play chess in the calm and peaceful scenery of Son Tra day by day.

De Thich, a young and brave fairy, successfully won the game, and in the name of victory, the old fairy gave him a magical gift: an immortal golden elixir.

One day, a radiant flock of fairies descended from the heavens and landed on the picturesque beach known today as Tien Sa – the name itself translating to “visited by fairies”. After taking a dip in the crystal-clear waters of Son Tra beach, the fairies made their way up to the mountaintop surrounding the rock to witness the game between the young, brave fairy De Thich and an old fairy. In the end, De Thich emerged victorious and as a reward for his triumph, the old fairy presented him with an immortal golden elixir.

Unfortunately, some waves of laughter from the fairies around interrupted and distracted De Thich, causing him to make a wrong move; this was the perfect opportunity for the fairy to end the game. After emerging victorious, the fairy returned to heaven, leaving De Thich all alone. Despite his best efforts, De Thich was unable to find a way to solve the game.
